AOD 2010 User's Conference Report

A 4 day conference with 3
different tracks, Clinical, Operations and Technical (See
Agenda). This was their 15th
conference, they had 189 attendee’s from 28 states. Keynote was from
Widener University that did a case study on
Kenda Corporation that had 5 communities going live with AOD in
last 2 Years. Clinical Track We had presentations on MDS 3.0 and how it will work with Rugs IV and ICD 10. We will start a number of eLeaning sessions with AOD in August. Version 12 of AOD will come out in August that will be able to handle MDS 3.0 even thought we will be viewing MDS 2. They handed out USB drives with MR Manuals, New Elite+ care plans (Andrea will be switch to soon) and forms (I’ll put both in the test computer to play with). Saw their new POC (Point of Care) module, AOD’s new in house version of Caretracker. It is capable of more charting in integration to AOD. It's not quite as good as Caretracker in logging in and messaging. Saw presentation on Pharmacy, Hospital and Lab interfaces. Operational Track Presentation on Clartity it's replacing FRX that sunsets 12/2014 – Report Writer, Budget/ Forecasting, web based works more closely with Excel but can link with PowerPoint and word. Can add personal user Dashboards, butterfly reports and can do all that FRX and Forecaster can do and a lot more. Will be ready later this year $30k Technical Track Tony did the mini class on Toolkit, working with database tables. Got some great tips on Performance & Testing, troubleshooting, new tools. Lab Time Carrie worked with Jim on inventory trying to figure out report on how ship and tax figure in and found some setting in AP that will update unit price when entering invoice. Will be testing in our test company. Cathy worked in the lab on UDEMR (User Defined Electric Medical Records) and nurse charting. Tony and Karla worked with Karen on Unitime Points System.
